Here is a commissioned stained glass panel I worked on over the summer and fall. The client wanted the piece for their front door. They asked for a central firefly in an art nouveau style. I added in waterlilies with a ripple like effect emanating from the lily pad.

Here is how it looks in window light:

The piece has iridescent glasses for dragonfly. Its wings are a clear iridescent crackle textured glass. The iridescent white and pinks in the body and eyes of the dragonfly are also used in the accent border pieces.

 

The ripples of glass contain different textures of clear glass, with a transparent yellow textured glass for accents to look like reflected sunlight on the water.

The panel will be installed over a plain door lite insert for the client’s front door. Installed images coming soon!
